Meet Dan Galbraith — The Networking Dynamo Behind “Dan the Swag Man”

If you spend any time networking in Westmoreland County, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Dan Galbraith, and if you have, you probably remember the conversation.

Dan has a way of making introductions feel effortless. Equal parts humor, curiosity, and genuine interest in people, he’s built a reputation as one of the most connected and engaging professionals in the region. Within Greensburg Business Connection, his energy and enthusiasm help create the welcoming atmosphere that makes our group thrive.

Professionally, Dan is the owner of Solutionist, a promotional marketing company focused on helping businesses get noticed and stay remembered through thoughtful branding and advertising products. Founded in 2004, the business grew from Dan’s decades of experience in advertising communications and his passion for helping organizations increase their visibility and brand recognition.

To many in the community, Dan is simply known as “Dan the Swag Man.”

The nickname fits. Over the years he has helped countless businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations find creative ways to share their message — whether through branded apparel, event giveaways, or marketing tools that keep their names top-of-mind. His approach isn’t just about products; it’s about strategy and relationships.

A Community Connector

What truly sets Dan apart is how deeply invested he is in the community he serves.

Beyond running Solutionist, Dan contributes his time and expertise to numerous organizations that strengthen the region’s business and civic life. He serves as a Board Member of the Greensburg Community Development Corporation (GCDC) and is a member of the Westmoreland Chamber Board and Executive Committee (ex officio). Dan also serves the public through his role on the Westmoreland County Board of Assessment Appeals, helping ensure fairness and accountability in property tax matters.

His commitment to community service extends even further. Dan supports the Westmoreland/Fayette Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and he remains actively engaged with several regional chambers of commerce including the Ligonier Valley Chamber, Greater Latrobe Laurel Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce.

Within the Westmoreland Chamber, Dan contributes his time and perspective on several committees including the Government Affairs Committee, the Ambassadors Committee, and the Golf Committee, roles that allow him to help strengthen relationships between businesses, civic leaders, and the broader community.

It’s this blend of entrepreneurship and civic engagement that makes Dan such a valuable member of Greensburg Business Connection. His connections across organizations, from business groups to community boards, help strengthen collaboration and awareness throughout the region.

The Secret Ingredient: People

For all the titles and roles, the real reason people gravitate toward Dan is simple: he genuinely enjoys people.

Whether he’s welcoming a first-time visitor to a networking breakfast, sharing a quick joke to break the ice, or making a thoughtful introduction between two professionals who should know each other, Dan approaches every interaction with enthusiasm and authenticity.

And that’s exactly the kind of leadership that makes a networking group more than just a meeting, it makes it a community.

We’re fortunate to have Dan’s energy, humor, and deep community commitment helping guide and grow Greensburg Business Connection.

If you attend one of our events, don’t be surprised if Dan is the first person to greet you, and the one making sure you leave with a few new connections (and maybe a new joke or two).
